Sandy: record-breaker and heart-breaker
Now that the storm has calmed, and the damage has been done, we can look back on Hurricane Sandy. Also termed a tropical cyclone, Sandy affected parts of the Caribbean, Mid-Atlantic, and the northeastern U.S. Here is an infographic of some of the storm's statistics in comparison to Hurricanes Irene and Katrina of the last decade.

It will take time to rebuild many parts of the damaged towns and cities, and hopefully each area will have enough help/volunteers to revamp and bring back the communities to their people. It can be a very tough time for those who lost homes or even family members, and just as much for those who have no home or job.

RépondreSupprimerOui, Sandy est une tragédie. Je pense que c'est intéressant--les médias américains ne discutent pas comment Sandy a affecté les Caraïbes.
RépondreSupprimerC'est la même chose ici, on nous a parlé de New York en long en large et en travers pendant plusieurs jours. En revanche, le silence radio est quasiment total sur Haïti et Cuba par exemple.
